Spotted over on Jared Washington’s Instagram, looks like he’s running the recently released Federal V3 Freecoaster, along with a prototype Federal Hub Guard which works with the hub. No other details on this, but apparently it will work with the old style Federal Coaster which leads me to believe it will work with similar hubs using the KHE Internals. Their hasn’t been a guard like this out yet, and I know a lot of people are going to be stoked on a hub guard made specifically for these freecoasters. Expect more info to drop from Federal soon.

EDIT- Dropped a cut away shot of the new V3 Hub (as seen at Interbike), which shows the new female axle and the added thrust bearing behind the clutch which reduces the drag and helps the cranks spin with less friction.
