Head over to The Union to check out a fresh review on Odyssey‘s new Springfield Brakes. I own a pair of these, and paired up with a Quick Slick Cable, its the simplest and most reliable brake I’ve ever fitted to my steed. The two combined literally take seconds swap your ride from brakes to brakeless, and are pretty easy on the wallet too. Perfect.
Brain Tunney just dropped a real nice piece up on ESPN BMX where he reviews some of the major technological advances in BMX over the past year. The discussion includes new Freecoasters, 48 Spoke Wheels, fatter Tires and more. Head over there and check it out!
At The Merged we just can’t get enough about trying new products, whether it be building up a brand new Frame, or just throwing on a fresh new pair of Grips we get pretty stoked on riding with new swag on our steeds. So we were smiling from ear to ear when Chris from CSG Distribution sent us a box of new products from Wethepeople and Eclat to ride with and see how they held up.
Instead of hoarding all the new products for my self I thought I’d help out a few of the local shredders and help them out with some new parts to freshen up their rides. I decided to hook my good buddy Yakob Swyer up with Eclat’s new Oz Pivotal Seat, and in return he did a quick write-up on what he thought of it. This is the first in a series of rider written reviews on The Merged, where we get real riders to properly test out new products and see how they fair up, hope you enjoy!
